The inauguration of the exhibition “Jewellery – art and food for the soul” took place on 25 June, 2015. Organized by Club degli Orafi Italia, the exhibition will remain open from 25 June to 14 September at the Poldi Pezzoli Museum in Milan. A path of discovery of Italian gem traditions: from top-quality craftsmanship to Renaissance workshops – well represented by the Museum’s permanent collection – and contemporary manufacturing entrepreneurship.
For the first time Broggian, Cesari e Rinaldi, Chantecler Capri, Fope, Forevemark, Enzo Liverino,Vendorafa Lombardi and Vhernier will be exhibiting pieces from their collections, all together and in a museum: companies that fully embody the values of modern craftsmanship, and which, by constantly innovating materials, products and techniques, never lose their links with tradition, history, the artistic heritage, the district and quality.
The exhibition, through the creations of the leading names of luxury Italian jewellery, recounts the excellence, the ability, the sophistication of Italian products and the wealth of unique knowledge of this industry: Italy is in fact among the largest producers and exporter of jewellery, and Italian jewellers, throughout history, have been among the greatest innovators, both aesthetically and technically.
Among the goals, to enable international consumers to acquire a better knowledge of the exceptional skills and craftsmanship of Italian jewellery manufacturers and to arouse in a younger audience interest in the wealth of knowledge and unique know-how which distinguishes this sector of excellence and this trade, which is so creative and important for Made in Italy in general.
